We survey the major details involved in Paul's third missionary journey beginning in the Spring of AD 54 and ending with his arrival in Jerusalem in June of AD 58. This was an amazing period of fruitful evangelistic activity for Paul, which resulted in the full establishment of several churches in Turkey, Macedonia, and Greece, from whom he raised a contribution to take to the needy saints in Jerusalem. It was on this third journey that Paul wrote three of his big epistles (1 & 2 Corinthians, and Romans). The gospel of Mark may have been written about this time as well. John's Writings (AD 60-63)
Futurists believe John remained alive for over two decades after the destruction of Jerusalem, and therefore tend to date all of John's writings after AD 70. Rom 6 – Two Questions
Advocates for the Collective Body view of the resurrection have asserted that the phrase "THE sin" in Rom 6:1 should be understood as a reference to "THE Law." They then use that idea to suggest that Paul is urging Jewish Christians to quit keeping the Law (instead of stop sinning). We show how that can…
Josephus vs. Vespasian (AD 67)
This time we dig a little deeper into the details of the Galilean campaign of Vespasian and Titus, as they began to subjugate all the fortified cities of Galilee (AD 67). Josephus had tried to unite all the cities of Galilee under his command, and get them fortified before the Romans attacked. But it simply…
